This book was prepared for the Türkiye İş Bankası Cultural Publications "Atatürk series" on the occasion of the 100th commeration of the birth of Atatürk in 1981. The request from Türkiye İş Bankası to prepare such a book came almost two years prior to that date. I deliberately chose the subject of the book as "The Atatürk Revolution: A Paradigm of Modernization" for two major reasons: Firstly, I had worked, in the main, on the ideological aspect of the Atatürk Revolution and had published in this field.
